Today I reread Richard Bach's fabel from 1970, and find that what then was ahead of its time, is now exactly on the point. It has taken ascension almost fifty years, but now we are all waking up, step by step, consciously or not.
Near the end Jonathan sighs and wonders: "Why is it, that the hardest thing in the world is to convince a bird that he is free, and that he can prove it for himself if he'd just spent a little time practising? Why should that be so hard?" (p.84)
He practices perfection in flying technique, and later on, after a period as an outcast, he starts to teach other birds that they are limitless and free. Today the internet is full of these teachers, wanting to help us understand Ascension. Waking up to understand that we are limitless, perfect justa s we are.
And the most important trick, is the knowledge and meaning of kindness and of love. And the more we learn about the nature of love, the more he want to spread the word. We demonstrate love by giving back what we have received. And we receive what we give.
When we overcome space and time, we are left with Here and Now. We have to accept that we are limitless energy beings. We must not doubt it. "Why is it so difficult?"
Forgive and help others understand. If we do what gives us joy, we heal ourselves. But we have to believe it (p.70). If you do, nothing can stand in your way. We are One, there is no difference between un, except the degree conscious awareness of what is happening.
One of his pupils wonders: "How can you love the mob that tried to kill you?" And the answer is: - "We don't love hatred and evil. We have to learn to see the good in every one, and to help them see it in themselves. That is LOVE." (p.85) And joyful!
